Perfect Order Is Here — And Yeah, It's Kinda a Big Deal

Mega Dragonite ex Special Illustration Rare #290 — Perfect Order

So I did something a little wild today. Surprise stream, no warning, just vibes — and we cracked some Perfect Order packs live together for the first time. And honestly? The community energy was unreal. You guys showed up, chat was going crazy, and we pulled some absolutely disgusting cards. But let's back up for a second in case you haven't had a chance to dig into this set yet.

Perfect Order is the newest Scarlet & Violet era set, dropping today internationally. And the reason everyone's been talking about it for months? Mega Pokémon are back. Not as ex. Not as V-MAX. Mega Pokémon — proper, classic Mega Evolution energy in the modern card game. If you grew up with XY era cards and have a soft spot for Mega Charizard Y or Mega Dragonite tearing up your old collection binder, this set was literally made for you.

The Cards People Are Actually Chasing

Let's be real — you're not ripping packs of Perfect Order hoping for the bulk. Here's what everyone's hunting:

Mega Dragonite ex is the star of the show, and it comes in four different versions. You've got the Double Rare at #152, the Mega Attack Rare at #271 (insane art, full-bleed illustration), the Special Illustration Rare at #290, and then the one that's going to be a generational grail — the Mega Hyper Rare at #295. That last one is going to be worth a lot of money in a few years. Screenshot this.

Then you've got Mega Gengar ex SIR — ghost fans are absolutely losing it, and honestly the art is some of the best in the modern era. And the Mega Charizard Y ex Gold card. A gold Charizard. Do I even need to explain?

What to Actually Expect From a Box

Here's the honest talk: these are rare pulls. We're not in the days of Base Set holo rates. A typical box isn't going to hand you a Mega Hyper Rare or an SIR on demand. You might crack a whole hobby box and get a Double Rare as your best hit — and that's just the reality of modern set pull rates.

That said, every pack has a shot, and that's the whole thing about sealed product. Today on stream we had some big moments, but we also had plenty of packs that were... fine. Base rares. Supporters. That's part of it.

If you're buying singles, right now is actually a solid window — the market hasn't fully settled on most of these chase cards yet. The Mega Hyper Rare in particular is going to find its floor over the next few weeks, but long-term? I'd watch that one closely.

Why This Set Matters

The Mega Pokémon comeback isn't just nostalgia bait. These are genuinely well-designed cards with strong art direction, and the collector community has been asking for this kind of throwback treatment for years. Scarlet & Violet has been doing a great job giving classic Pokémon modern prestige treatment — Perfect Order feels like a payoff.

I'll be doing more content around this set over the coming weeks, including some detailed pull rate tracking and singles coverage. If you missed today's stream, VOD will be up soon.

Let's gooo. It's a good week to be a Pokémon collector. 🐉
